Agnes Chavez is a new media artist, educator and artistic director of The PASEO Festival and is serving as artistic director to design a permanent installation visualizing data from the Large Hadron Collider, CERN, Switzerland, for the public visiting the data center. She curates interdisciplinary collaborations and participatory experiences for festivals, museums and art/science organizations. She is the founder of the STEMarts LAB program a Research and Innovation platform for STEAM explorations applied to art and education. Partnerships include Los Alamos National Laboratory and ISEA2012: Machine Wilderness and ATLAS Outreach@CERN. She is the founder and developer of SUBE, a multisensory language curriculum for teaching Spanish and English to kids through art, music and games, now in its 20th year.
